Q: Why do I need Secure-One? - Back to top
A: The Secure-One units increases profits, and decreases over head, TODAY. The Secure-one unit stops the theft of newspapers from the vending racks in which they are installed. Profits are increased because every paper taken has been paid for. Racks may be placed where they were previously unprofitable, do to theft. (Such as condo's, factories, and retirement homes) Sales numbers can be guaranteed. Advertisers are satisfied with results because their revenue is increased.
Q: How does Secure-One work? - Back to top
A: The Secure-One reveals one newspaper at a time. No outside power source is necessary. No electricity, No batteries. When the customer inserts the proper amount of coins and opens the door a portion of the cycle is begun. When the customer releases the door the cycle completes. Technically, this is called using ‘kinetic’ energy. If the door is not completely shut the unit will not cycle the next paper into position. The rack has some of the front pages taken from the last paper in the racks showing in the window. The newspapers are on individual shelving and only one paper is revealed at each purchase.
Q: Is the Secure-One weather resistance? - Back to top
A: The unit itself is made from high quality steel that is powder coated, for extra protection. The Secure-One unit is protected from the weather by being installed in a TK-80 or similar racks which reduces exposure to weather. There are no plastic parts. The unit has been tested in all kinds of weather and it works every time.
Q: Is there a list of coin operated newspaper racks into which Secure-One units will fit? - Back to top

Q: How many papers does Secure-One hold? - Back to top
A: There are two models of Secure-One. There is a 14 slot model and a 16 slot model*. The 14 slot model has slots that are for newspapers which are between 40 and 60 pages such as daily papers, a flick of the switch changes this to 7 slots that are for newspapers which are 80-120 pages like the Sunday and/or special editions. The 16 slot model works the same with 1/2 inch slots that change to 1 inch for Sunday and/or special editions. *(The 16 Slot model is has a minimum order of 240 units)
Q: How do you put newspapers into the Secure-One unit? - Back to top
A: The newspapers are inserted one at a time into the slots of the Secure-One unit. This is different than the current way a carrier fills the TK-80 or similar racks. The newspapers are inserted into the slot with the top or open end of the newspaper toward the customer. The front of the first section goes into the display window in the door and the remaining portion goes in the bottom shelf.
Q: How long does it take to install the newspapers? - Back to top
A: It takes about 30 seconds to install 16 newspapers in the 3/4 inch slots of the Secure-One Unit. Persons with no previous experience will be able to do it expertly after a few tries. To install 7 (1 1/5 inch) newspapers takes about half that time. To switch from one size to the other requires only the flick of a switch.

He will train your people to install the units into your TK-80 or similar racks and demonstrate some troubleshooting techniques over a 3 day, roughly 48 hour, period. An instruction and troubleshooting CD is include. Online assistance and a phone number are available after normal business hours. Larger orders will get appropriately longer training time.

Q: Is a Lease agreement available? - Back to top

Q: Are there a service contracts available? - Back to top
A: If you want a service contract, we will provide one, based on the number of units involved, the distance from Atlanta and the expected results. Service contracts may cost 10% or more of the original purchase price of the units, per year. We expect our training to make your employees able to keep the units working well, because the units are well designed and made of high quality materials. There is free on-line and telephone support to keep units functioning or to help with problems.
Q: Can the Secure-One be customized to my color and logo? - Back to top
A: Most of the Secure-One unit is not visible to the person buying the paper. Any visible portion of the unit may be painted any color or logo. This is not included in the base price. It is best done by a local company you may be doing business with currently. The outside of the TK-80 is what is usually customized.
Q: How long is the Secure-One predicted to last? - Back to top
A: The Secure-One unit is made from high quality steel which has a powder coating and there are no plastic parts. It is installed in a Rack and less exposed to weather. Considering these factors the unit should give service a long time. The exact figures for length of service are not available at this time.
